Hodgkin Lymphoma: General Tips

General Tips
  • See your regular healthcare provider (primary care provider) every year for a checkup and physical exam
  • Identify a specialized survivorship care program
  • Know the resources in your community and/or cancer center
  • If you've undergone a stem cell transplant, here are additional resources as well as those on the Resources page of this website

Obtaining a Survivorship Care Plan
Talk to your provider about your treatment and they can create a survivorship care plan to help you to understand your treatment history and what to expect going forward. You can review the Additional Resources page on this website for ways to stay healthy. It provides a general overview that can be discussed alongside your survivorship care plan with your provider. Regular follow-up with your primary care provider following a care plan, or at a long-term survivorship clinic is a crucial tool survivors can use to help with the survivorship needs. Dana-Farber's Adult Survivorship Program is a great way to help find expertise, education, and support managing post-treatment risks and health.

Helpful Information
It can be difficult for Hodgkin Lymphoma survivors to know when to call their care team. Be sure to call your provider if you experience any of these symptoms. If you have any questions about symptoms you might be experiencing, call your doctor's office.
  • Persistent unexplained fevers
  • Drenching night sweats
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Enlarged lymph nodes
  • Unintentional weight loss
  • Any new or unusual symptoms

This website aimed to focus on the main concerns facing Hodgkin Lymphoma and related cancer survivors. Please talk with your care team and share your concerns with them if you are experiencing other symptoms (such as nerve pain or neck weakness) that are due to previous treatments.
